The vision for our Sustainable Learning website is to empower teachers to deliver engaging lessons on sustainability that support the curriculum.
The intention is to empower educators to be able to teach sustainability as part of a lesson on any subject, not just science or geography where it has typically sat in the past.
Rather than deliver a single lesson on climate change and then move on, this programme aims to weave the narrative of greener living into many different possible lessons. Our ethos is to make sustainability core to children’s learning, not a subject that sits by itself.
The wide range of creative lessons encourages diversification of lessons, teaching subjects in different ways, as well as supporting time-poor teachers with engaging and inspiring resources. All completely free of charge!
