Platform rail education scheme came together as a result of our Community Rail Partnership feasibility study report findings and aims to connect schools and young people to the rail industry.

We supported Severnside, Gloucestershire, TransWilts, and Worcestershire Community Rail Partnerships to take their joint education scheme from an idea to a reality.

After hiring a team of qualified teachers, January 2022 saw the beginnings of the joint education scheme  starting to take place.

Clare supported the team to create a plan and timeline for the project, basing this off of her findings from the feasibility study. Olivia, our Project Support Officer, assisted Platform to create bespoke, rail-related resources that linked tightly to the curriculum.

" Sustainable Hive guided, trained, supported and equipped us with the tools we needed to turn the project from a concept into a concrete scheme. They are creative, communicative, extremely flexible and easy to work with, and they would always be my first port of call for any future projects."

Emilie Dawson, Platform Learning Development Manager
