Green for Good
We launched 'Green for Good' in response to the drive schools have to become greener places. Despite their best intentions, they repeatedly told us they felt frustrated by their lack of time and often overwhelmed by where to start.
By delivering bespoke advice, clear direction and using realistic goals we work with education establishments to establish 'green councils' made up of pupils of all ages who are tasked with reviewing current practice, writing action plans, building 'eco' into the school ethos and gradually changing behaviour both of their peers, the school staff and local community.
To achieve this, we meet the students frequently, provide resources and liaise with relevant members of the school community.
Our support provides reassurance, clear direction, the expertise to ensure the actions are effective and most importantly enables schools to achieve their aims without feeling overwhelmed.
It has proved to be an extremely enjoyable and rewarding process for all the schools involved and especially for the 'green team.' The pupils feel empowered and their pester power ensures everyone gets involved!
