Did you know that, according to Hubbub, 81% of people think businesses should be doing more to reduce ocean litter? We are providing companies with the opportunity to do something active for the environment, learn and engage with our Treasure Your River Campaign and enjoy on the water team building activities all for a donation to Sustainable Hive.
In 2017, Hubbub and Canary Wharf College launched Plastic Fishing to raise awareness of litter, educate people about how it gets from land to the sea, and to most importantly, show people the issue first hand and help them take action. Bristol now has it's very own plastic fishing boat made out of 99% recycled single-use plastic.
We run plastic fishing trips for groups of 8 people and each trip lasts for a total of around two hours. Trips include around one hour on the water as well an introductory talk from Sustainable Hive about plastics, marine pollution, and the Plastic Fishing project. All trips are led by RYA-qualified skippers around Bristol Harbour.
There is also an opportunity to extend your team's experience through litter picking whist paddle boarding or canoeing. If you're not a fan of the water, then why not try an on land litter pick or one of our silent disco litter picks!
