COP26:Surfers Against Sewage

This year, Surfers Against Sewage have declared an ocean and climate emergency to advocate the ocean’s pivotal role in the climate crisis. As part of the declaration, they have launched a petition to call on the UK Government to ensure the ocean is at the centre of climate negotiations at COP26. Targeted at the Prime Minister primarily (as well as devolved governments to address petition sub-asks), they want to influence the direction of the COP26 talks by generating 80,000 signatures, from the general public and school pupils.

Accordingly, we produced a resource which is suitable for both school based and distance learning, which focuses on the key asks within the petition to allow pupils to gain insight into why the ocean plays a key role within the climate crisis:
-
What is the ocean & climate crisis?
-
What is COP26 & why is it important?
-
Breaking Down the Petition Asks
By allowing entire schools to sign the petition, they can amplify the powerful youth voices that have driven the climate movement over the last two years.
To increase engagement with schools, we were tasked to produce a selection of educational resources that raise awareness and understanding of the importance of COP26 and empower school pupils and the general public to sign the petition.

Far reaching and memorable campaigns tailored to fit even the most unusual requests.

Innovative educational resources for both the Primary and Secondary sector.

Workshops, conferences and training delivered how you want it, when you want it.
