A Century's Memories

The resulting stories and memories have been collected and published in an illustrated commemorative book and as a series of educational resources. We created four learning resources using these stories and research about World War One all featuring audio clips that we produced from the interviews. They included an assembly incorporating a Year 6 lesson focused on public speaking and a cross curricular lesson concentrating on the role of wartime women.

A Century's Memories is a Lottery-funded community project to collect and share First World War stories and memories from the Bath area.

Groups of young people from Bath College, Keynsham Army Cadet Force and Midsomer Norton Cadet Force got to know and interviewed older residents from across the district about what their families and communities were doing during World War One.
